about

'It’s bewildering, disorientating. Of course it is. The concept behind the project revolves around an antagonistic stance in relation to the renewed fetishisation of all things analogue that runs contra to the cultural dominance of streaming media. In essence, the tracks constructed from random YouTube clips, feeding off the random blizzarding effect while simultaneously making a quiet revolt against the analogue fetishism that rules in certain circles.

Yes, it’s all about the contradictions, which it faces head-on and ploughs into with assurance. there’s no other way when it comes to a project like this. Here, samplism and digitalism collide to annihilate all posturing in a way that both reflects and challenges prevailing trends and cultural currents, throwing everything back in the face of the culture that spawned both the mainstream and the so-called ‘alternative,’...'

Excerpt from the zine that accompanied Tunnel.
