about

credits

released September 30, 2016

i made this ep over about two weeks sometime between february and may of 2014. it was recorded using a Juno-60 and a Vermona Retroverb Lancet, both which were on loan to Cory (who makes music as Kohwi and works at Soundcloud) from Jami (who makes music as Seams and works at soundcloud too). it was recorded at Cory’s place during a period of unemployment after i left my job at Pipe. all of these recordings were then arranged in ableton. also one of the basslines is a sample from film Funeral Parade of Roses, which i watched after it was recommended to me by my friend will bennett. at the time I was listening to a lot house music and combing through discogs, streaming tracks with ambient in the genre or title (such as Mellow (Ambient Mix) by classic man, Waterfalls (4 A.M. Mix) by After Hours or Sea Birds by Hexagone). I was also listening to some more modern house tracks at the time (such as Sprinkles' Ambient Ballroom take on Oh, Yoko or Josephine by Patricia). also a general s/o to Theo Parrish who’s always been a huge inspiration when it comes to house music. anyway i hope you enjoy and find some solace in this ep for alien jams.
